History
In case you are wondering about the mixture of Precision Control Systems (PCS) and Research Inc. (RI) The following short story will
to help clear up this piece of history and confirm that you have found the right place for you Heating and Control needs.
Today - We are a 12 person, customer focused, engineering oriented, "Get-R-Done" company that provides innovation and value in the
industrial markets.
September, 2007 thru June, 2008 - Chaos, panic and a lot of hard work.... Our effort to integrate 50+ years of RI Heaters & Systems into the PCS
business system was accomplished. The result is an organized and efficient organization that is ready to respond to the customers requirements thru
short lead-times, quality products and knowledgable engineering and service.
August, 2007 - PCS purchased the Infrared Heating Division of RI and the Research Inc. name. In this asset purchase we acquired the standard products that you can
find on our product page and hired the key personel that have the knowledge and capability to sell, design, manufacture and support these products.
June, 1998 - PCS was formed by ex-RI employees. We initially focused on providing the control systems and support for 30+ years of RI
system customers. As the original RI business changed we added personel to expand our offerings from controls to infrared heaters and
heating systems.
September 18, 1951 - Research Inc. organized and has been "actively engaged in development related to aircraft and guided missiles, including fundamental aerodynamic
and thermodynamic problems to the fabrication of test equipment instrumentation, computers and aircraft accessories" (Quoted from 1950'S Newspaper article!)
